3. ABOUTUNIVERSITY Barkatullah University, originally known as Bhopal University, was founded in 1970 in Madhya Pradesh's capital city. After which it was renamed Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya in 1988, in honour of the famous independence fighter Prof. Barkatullah, who was born in Bhopal. The NAAC 2015 assigned the university a ‘B' grade. Bhopal, Sehore, Vidisha, Raisen, Hoshangabad, Harda, Betul, and Rairagarh are among the eight districts under the University's jurisdiction. Also, it has extension centres at Betul and Bioware as well. Moreover, this university has one engineering college, two colleges of education, a technical teachers training institute, three medical colleges, a college of Indology and museology, an English language teachers training institute, and colleges of ayurvedic, Unani, physiotherapy, and homoeopathy.

4. CAMPUS The Barkatullah University campus, which covers over 400 acres of land, is located along the Hoshangabad highway, about 3 kilometres from Habibganj Railway Station. Namely University's teaching departments place a strong emphasis only on interdisciplinary teaching and research. 7. COURSES OFFERED There are various courses offered by Barkatullah University both full-time on-campus courses and also open distance education. In that case, the full-time courses are as follows for which undergraduate courses require a 10+2 pass from a recognised institute, for postgraduate and postgraduate diploma courses 50 per cent from the specific stream in undergraduate is required from a recognised institute by UGC. 13. ACTIVITIES National Service Schemes The NSS is supported by the Indian government's Ministry of Human Resource Development. It is focused on volunteer social service and strives to help people develop their personalities through community service. Literacy drives, health care and immunisation, blood donation, environmental development projects, tree planting, and maintaining the NSS Book Bank are just some of the activities that NSS volunteers participate in. University Press The press was founded in 1981 with financial aid from the state government. as well as UGC The University Press serves as a service department for the university.

14. INFRASTRUCTURE Hostels The campus has three boy's hostels and three girl's hostels. In addition, the students on a cooperative basis manage the mess. Application forms for admission to the hostels can be found in the different hostels' offices. Dr. Hemant Khandai, Dr. Sunil K. Snehi, and Dr. Kapil Soni are the Wardens of the Boys Hostel. Dr Anita Dhurvey, Dr RoopaliShevalkar, and Dr Vinisha Singh is the warden of the girls' dormitory. Library The Barkatullah University has a large library with about 75,000 books, 5,703 theses, 3000 research journals, and 60 Sanskrit MSS. Moreover, the library has 15 daily newspapers and 12 weekly newspapers, as well as various monthly publications and journals. To provide a favourable setting for research academics, it features distinct reference and thesis sections.

15. INFRASTRUCTURE The library includes an extensive collection of rare reference and text materials in all major fields. Dr Sanjay Gulati is in charge. The UCC was founded in 1990 which is currently well-equipped. The UGC-INFONET partnership has given a 2 MB leased line to the centre, with ERNET India managing the Internet line and INFLIBNET giving access to roughly 3500 journals published by publishers viz. INFRASTRUCTURE Bio information Center During 2002-2003, the Department of Biotechnology launched the Bioinformatics Centre, one of the Sub-DICs within the BTIS Network, which was financed by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, New Delhi. Obviously, the centre's main goals are to provide computing resources and fundamental bioinformatics training to students, academics, and faculty in the biological sciences. In addition to the field of Bioinformatics, it offers services such as Internet access, online literature searches, hardware and software installation, data analysis, and projects and dissertations.

INFRASTRUCTURE UGC Coaching and Guidance Cell The Madhya Pradesh government has proposed to the University Grants Commission (UGC) that a coaching centre for students from minority communities be converted into a regular department. Furthermore, the State Government has committed to funding the department after the UGC funding period has expired. Admittedly the Government of Madhya Pradesh and this University are the first in the country to provide such a status to Minority Coaching and Guidance.
