3. ABOUT UNIVERSITY Mangalore University is an autonomous interdisciplinary public institution of higher education. Moreover, it is located in the educational hub of Mangalore, that is, Konaje. 6. HISTORY Initially, the University of Mysore had its jurisdiction over the South Canara. However, there was a growing demand to set up a local university in the nearby area.
