  3. ABOUTUNIVERSITY Guru Gobind Singh University or GGSIU was established in the year 1998 by the NCT Government in New Delhi. Furthermore, the initiation was done based on the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act and moreover, with the amendment of 1999. In addition, the University has its UGC recognition, under Section 12B of the UGC Act, India. Guru Gobind Singh University ( GGSIU) is a teaching-oriented institute along with being an affiliated university, with a clarified objective of initiating and pushing studies, extension work and research to a whole new level. Furthermore, it also directs its studies and efforts towards higher education with the focus on a proficient education. For Instance, Management Studies, Engineering Studies, pharmacy, nursing, law, education etc. In addition, the college aims for excellence and progress with regard to the fields of studies pursued.

  5. HISTORY Guru Gobind Singh University was founded in 1998, by the NCT government of Delhi. Furthermore, it also got its UGC recognition under 12 UGC Act, India. Essentially the University stood by a vision since its founding that is to stimulate the minds and hearts of the scholars, empower candidates that can give them the strength to contribute welfare to the society as a whole.

  7. INFRASTRUCTURE Library GGSIPU has a fully-fledged library equipped with a plethora of periodicals and books. In addition, it is also supported with resources of the computer like the ACM Digital Library, EBSCO, databases, INFLIBNET, etc. Hostel GGSIPU consists of two boys Hostels, with the names Shivalik and Aravalli. In addition, it also has 2 Hostels for the girls that go by the name Satpura and Nilgiri Girls Hostel. Moreover, every room of the Hostel has basic amenities in the form of a chair, table, cot, etc. Both the boys and the girl's Hostel consists of 360 beds each. Computer Centre GGSIU provides excellent resources to its students. It further provides e-resources with the help of an ICT network available at the computer centres. Apart from providing internet services, it also offers other facilities for its students and staff as well.

INFRASTRUCTURE Sports Complex Fortunately for students of GGSIU, they may not have to stress their whole college time indoors but can unwind for a gathering or a sporty activity in the sports complex itself. Moreover, the college also conducts various activities, that allows every student to express themselves and obtain certain skills that could be helpful in the future. Subsequently, the Sports complex of GGSIPU has a Basketball Court, Football Ground, Cricket Ground, Running Track, Kabaddi Ground and a Volleyball Court. Labs Being a Technologically oriented college, it has an array of labs and the list can go on and on. Subsequently, its number of labs displays the diversity in practical education it offers, be it having a Civil Engineering lab, Mechanical Lab, Electrical Engineering Lab or even a Multimedia lab. It has everything you think of. Moreover, the University also has its own Robotics lab, for many aspirants who would like to pursue their dreams of making their own Robots someday.

  9. INFRASTRUCTURE Cafeteria GGSIPU also has its own cafeteria where it allows many students to unwind and enjoy a piece of treat, hovering around their favorite eatery's drinks. In addition, the cafeteria gives a lot of room for students to spend enough time on the benches and chairs and get a room for their personal lives. Shuttle Service The College has also been very generous enough to provide a shuttle service for students commuting further distances. Furthermore, students will be asked to provide the details of their destination, after which they can be provided with the service. A/C Classrooms Auditorium GGSIPU also has its own auditorium that gives students a chance to express themselves in Co-curricular activities, be it plays, public speaking, Debates, skits, act, etc. In addition, students do attain creative, organizational and presentation skills.

  10. COURSES OFFERED Bachelors: GGSIU is famous for its bachelor courses. Besides, its undergraduate courses offer a wide array of subjects in various disciplines. Furthermore, it provides courses like BSC, B.Com, BA (Hons), BBE, BMS and others. These courses, however, have a duration of three years, unlike professional bachelor’s degrees for four years. Masters: Masters Courses at Guru Gobind Singh University, as a matter of fact, are also recognized for their comprehensive level of education.GGSIU offers masters courses in various disciplines as well. It provides MA courses, namely, MA, M.Sc., M.Com and more.
