It is functioning from the year 1981. By the way, this university is an offshoot of the postgraduate center of Sri Venkateswara University, which is functioning since 1976. Later, in 1988, it became a full-fledged affiliating University. First, the university started functioning with just five departments at the time of inception. There were just five departments during its inception. But now, there are at least five on-campus colleges. Namely- SKU College of Arts, SKU College of Science, SKU College of Engineering and Technology, SKU College of Education, SKU College of Pharmacy.   6. HISTORY In the first place, the Postgraduate center of Sri Venkateswara University started functioning in 1968. Later, in 1976, the institute attained autonomous status. Later on, in 1981, it started functioning as a university. In 1987 Sri Krishnadevaraya Institute of Management received an outlay from UGC to the tune of 1.2 crores. Meanwhile, the postgraduate center at Kurnool was also made over to Sri Krishnadevaraya University in 1993. Moreover, Sri Krishnadevaraya University College of Engineering and Technology was established in the self-financing model in 2006. Now, it is a full-fledged University offering affiliation to over 100 colleges.

Computer Centre: You can use the computer labs that are loaded with advanced high configuration systems. Apart from providing internet services, it also offers exceptional lab facilities for students.
