3. ABOUTUNIVERSITY The central University of Karnataka is shortly called CUK. It was established in 2009. In fact, the Parliament of India set it up under the Central University Act. Moreover, CUK and other fifteen universities were set up under this Act. Above all, UGC has given it the power to grant degrees. Besides, NAAC has given it a grade of ‘B++’. The Central University of Karnataka is situated in Kalaburagi, Karnataka. Currently, the university has seven schools. Moreover, these schools are further divided into departments. 6. HISTORY The Central University of Karnataka was among the sixteen Central Universities established by the Parliament Act of 2009. It is located in Kalaburagi, Karnataka. University approving authorities like UGC and NAAC have approved it.
