  1. The global extinction of species, lack of biodiversity and species protection or too little species rescue in many areas also increasingly affects human health. The current crisis and drought years have clearly shown everyone how quickly ecosystems can collapse or become unbalanced. The important role of missing tree species, especially in tree-poor Europe and the Mediterranean region, is greatly underestimated. Several hundred other species can depend on each individual tree species! Since many thousands of tree species are critically endangered and only rarely present, hundreds of thousands of species that depend on these trees are missing. This is also a reason for the great species extinction. Trees fulfill important functions and are key elements of ecosystems and cycles. Climate and weather systems are also significantly influenced and stabilized by trees and forests, including all associated plants. The article is also an announcement of the new Greening Deserts critically endangered species protection project to cultivate and to save the most endangered tree species. The project work title is 1001+ Critically Endangered Tree Species Cultivation Project. The Trillion Trees Initiative can help in future to share the trees and seeds in the regions who need more biodiversity and were the trees gone extinct. Some other Greening Deserts projects and special programs can also help to establish many of the real endangered trees species, from which also many other species depend on. Environmental satellites, GIS systems and satellite imagery of the worldwide vegetation can help to select the right trees for the right areas. Historical archives and plant databases can be used to find tree species who were lost or forgotten in regions with less biodiversity, so like in Europe and North Africa were just a few tree species excist, especially in relation to the approx 60.000 tree species, of which over 10.000 are endangered. Ecosystem and landscape professionals can help to find many good places for reforestation or even for complete new forests like in human-made deserts or urban areas. Urban greening and city forests will play an increasingly important role, especially in relation to the biodiversity issues, global greening and urban cooling aspect. Some cities already are up to four degrees hotter as in old times! Many people died by the droughts and heat waves during the last years. Agroforestry, food forests, flower trees and more trees with fruits for animals and humans are possible to unite a more sustainable agriculture and ecological forestry. AI, aquaponics, cleantech, hydroponics, greentech, permaculture techniques and vertical farming will help to improve all these fields or sectors. Greening Deserts Critically Endangered Species Research and Protection Program (CES-RPP) started the extra project for real endangered trees species to focus on the most important issue of global biodiversity conservation and to establish more biodiversity forests worldwide. The main focus for the next years is on building up special seed storages and solutions, to exchange and share experiences. With the Urban Greening Camp we can save and store the seeds professionaly. In the indoor gardening and vertical farming section we can cultivate many tree species, especially for the European and Mediterran region. We can share seeds and

  2. plants with botanical gardens and professional tree nurseries around the world. Many institutions, organisations, universities, biodiversity and plant scientists, tree and forest specialists were already informed in 2020. We invite arborists, botanists, tree growers and specialists to join the project, for example by exchanging usefull information or sharing constructive feedbacks and resources. Of course other experts and scientists who really can support the project can join. Together with the CES-RPPs we can establish the goal to recultivate and regreen the worldwide forests, typical tree landscapes and regions with critical endangered tree species and keystone plant species. If we focus on the cultivation and sharing of the young plants worldwide we can save many tree species of extinction. This means if all runs good we can remove the critically endangered status of many trees we will have really saved by plant cultivation and sharing seeds. The Urban Greening Camp will be located in Leipzig in Germany. The federal state Saxony is a relatively central region of Europe. Effective logistics, sustainable work, packaging and shipping should be no problem. The founder and initiator Oliver Gediminas Caplikas works hard on the concepts and projects, at moment he prepares the new location and the launch of a new Startup.
