Use of Streamer Shields

In general, Streamer shields are used to protect polymer insulator strings placed on power lines from becoming contaminated with avian fecal matter, and reduce the chance for flashover. They are made of durable UV resistant HDPE polymer and adjustable for various sized power line insulators. Streamer shields are secure in high winds for sustained periods of time. Streamer shields are created custom fit to order. They are also available made with porcelain.
