  1. If you're using anabolic steroids, keeping an eye on your health is just as important as tracking your gains in the gym. Whether you're doing it for competitive reasons or personal goals, using products like Balkan steroids means your body is going through strong changes. To make sure you stay safe, getting regular blood work done during your cycle is key. These tests can help catch problems early before they turn serious. One of the most important things to monitor is your liver. Steroids can put stress on your liver, especially oral ones. A liver function test (sometimes called LFT) will show how well your liver is working and if it’s starting to feel the pressure. If you spot high enzyme levels, it could be a sign that your liver needs a break. Next up is your cholesterol. Steroids can lower your good cholesterol (HDL) and raise your bad cholesterol (LDL), increasing the risk of heart issues down the road. A simple lipid panel will check your cholesterol numbers and help you make smart decisions about your diet and supplements. Your hormone levels are another big one. Testosterone usually goes way up during a cycle, but your natural production may shut down. A blood test for total and free testosterone, as well as estrogen (estradiol), will give you a clear picture of how your hormones are behaving. Keep in mind, high estrogen can lead to unwanted side effects like water retention or gynecomastia (enlarged breast tissue in men), so it’s smart to stay on top of it. Don’t forget your red blood cells. Steroids can boost red blood cell count, which might sound good for energy, but too many can cause thick blood and increase the risk of clots. A Complete Blood Count (CBC) test helps here by showing your red blood cell levels and overall blood health. Finally, your kidney function should be checked as well. A basic renal panel can tell if your kidneys are doing their job and help catch any potential issues early. In short, regular blood work during a steroid cycle isn't just for peace of mind—it's for your health. Getting these tests can help you stay safe, spot trouble before it starts, and make better choices along the way. Stay strong, but stay smart too.
