Mumbai Metro – Corridor 4 • In recent years, Mumbai subway project has been talked about in the city, it will really be an important public transport project and put significant pressure on the congested rail system. Mumbai Metro Corridor 4 extends from Wadala to Kasarvadavali in Thane. The 32km route passes through Ghatkopar, Bhandup, Mulund and Teen Hath Naka in Thane. This subway project will provide access to major commercial and geographical locations in Mumbai and will also connect to several other subway lines, allowing easy access to almost all of Mumbai. • The subway line runs through all major areas of Bhandup and Bhandup is believed to have a number of subway stations including the Bhandup subway station and the Shangrila subway station. With this local subway line, Bhandupkar has easy access to Wadala (monorail) and Jalan Ghodbunder. This upcoming subway project in Mumbai will greatly reduce travel time and prove to be a convenient travel option. Construction work is in progress and is expected to be completed in the next 2 years.

The bustling city of Mumbai is poised to receive the longest bike path in the country and this one is also in the heart of Bhandup. Interesting right? This 39 km cycle route stretches from Mulund to Antop Hill in Vadala. This project is being developed to promote cycling culture in the city. • Construction has started in the Mulund and Bhandup areas and part of the runway is already operational. The bike path will have 40 entry and exit points and will be connected to 7 metro stations and 4 train stations. The tree lined bike path will become one of the most popular spots in Bhandup. Construction is expected to be completed in the next 2-3 years. • 3. Mumbai-Goregaon . Link Road • This is another main road that connects Bhandup directly to the western suburbs of Mumbai in less than an hour. The aim of this project is to solve the problem of congestion and save time on the way to work. Today, Bhandup travelers must travel on the congested JVLR or take a detour from Ghodbunder Road to reach the western suburbs. As suburbs like Goregaon have become major shopping centers, the connecting road will make Bhandup a potential residential area for people working in the western suburbs. • The 12 kilometer long project will be built in four stages. The first stage has been completed and work on the other stages continues. The duration of this project is about 48-60 months.

With the proposed 90ft road and other road widening projects under the urban development plan, Bhandup's internal connectivity will be massively improved.
