Revocable trusts are often touted for their ability to avoid probate. While that it true, their advantages extend far beyond this widely known benefit. The prospect of skipping the lengthy and sometimes costly probate process is certainly attractive. However, there are plenty of other advantages that make a revocable trust a robust estate planning tool.
