  2. Meet the Owners Owners and Directors Daryl Moss, Jeff Robinson, and Nathalie Moss have over 75 years of combined camp and teaching experience. Together, they have worked with thousands of families to provide a diverse sports and camp program in a safe environment.

  3. Our Mission Canyon Creek Summer Camp provides a safe, non-competitive environment where boys and girls build confidence and independence, learn teamwork and develop problem-solving skills. We strive to make Canyon Creek the premiere California Summer Camp.

Our Location Nestled in the Angeles National Forest, Canyon Creek Summer Camp is a completely self-contained Los Angeles Summer Camp only an hours drive from the heart of LA. and only 20 minutes from beautiful Castaic Lake. Our 81-acre camp site features prime athletic facilities, state of the art equipment and the ideal setting for children to escape the distractions of city life. Through dedication to our camp families, and steadfast commitment to our campers, Canyon Creek is proud to be among the top resident California Summer Camps.

  5. Purpose of the Program The Canyon Creek Counselor in Training (CIT) program is for boys and girls 15 and 16 years of age who have a genuine interest in working with children. The program is structured to prepare CIT’s to become assistant and head counselors and become eligible for paid positions!

  6. What do the CIT’s Do? CIT’s primarily work with our youngest campers and assist counselors in various activities throughout the camp day. CIT’s have the availability to still participate in their favorite camp activities during their time at Canyon Creek in addition to learning how to direct the activities themselves.

  7. How do CIT’s Learn? Counselors in Training at this California Summer Camp learn skills though a variety of methods. CIT’s will have experiential learning by shadowing and assisting current staff, have discussions with fellow CIT’s and counselors, participate in team building activities, and will receive evaluations from their supervisor throughout the training process.

Life Skills Gained Campers who participate in our Counselor in Training program gain many skills useful in the world inside and outside of Canyon Creek Summer Camp such as: • Leadership • Decision Making • Responsibility • Goal Setting • Personal Growth • Maturity • Self-confidence • Work Ethic • Initiative • Common Sense • Judgment • Independence • Communication Skills • Creativity • Energy and Enthusiasm
