  2. What is Hypochlorous Acid? Hypochlorous acid is a weak acid, with a pH similar to that of your skin, and is a naturally-occurring substance in our bodies. It is the same chemical that our own white blood cells produce to fight infection and kill bacteria. Hypochlorous acid is unique because it is one of the only known agents that is non-toxic to the delicate cells that heal our wounds and protect us, while being lethal to almost all known dangerous pathogens, making it effective against bacteria, viruses, and fungi (outside the body).
