There are more than 100 causes of hair fall but among them few are common. For male, most common cause is androgenic alopecia. For female, pregnancy, thyroid disorders, andu00a0anemia. Others include PCOD. But most common cause of Male & Female Baldness is Androgenic Alopecia.

Causes of hair fall • There are more than 100 causes of hair fallbut among them few are common. • For male, most common cause is androgenic alopecia. • For female, pregnancy, thyroid disorders, and anemia. Others include PCOD. • But most common cause of Male & Female Baldness is Androgenic Alopecia.

  4. Why are the blood test advised? • Blood test are commonly advised to know specific disorder and common health status- • Complete blood count to know haemoglobin level along with WBC, Platelet count and differential blood count which give clue to many things. • Liver function and kidney function test gives us idea of functionality of Liver & Kidney Function respectively.

  5. Thyroid Function test which give us idea of thyroid disorders. • Iron, ferritin and TIBC advised who are suffering from anaemia or having history of anaemia (more common in female).

  6. For Females • If they are known patient of PCOD or menstruation irregularities, we advised them to consult gynaecologist and bring to us all reports if require them we advise further tests like hormone tests.

  7. Tests are mostly advised according to history of patient and clinical examination. • Tests are also advise, if we are planning for and operative procedure, then bleeding test profiles are needed.
