  1. PRESSURE POINTS The Belts Required to Become A Well-Balanced Martial Artist The Calasanz System creates masters faster than other systems, and the product is some of the youngest, most well-blanaced martial art masters. The system is based on skill and science, building on how the brain remembers movements and reacts instinctively, without having to think about what is coming next. Students are examined approximately every 3 months, under the rank of the 14 black belts. Each belt is designed specifically for every student. As with all martial arts, you will use what you learn in this program for your entire life. The skill and knowledge you will acquire by completing these 14 achievements will allow you to not only understand how to perform martial arts, but the concepts and structure behind them. A mastery of the Calasanz System, when pursued through ded- icated, focused study, can be accomplished in only 1 to 4 years using the system’s “pressure points.” It can take up to 50 years to become an accomplished master in other systems. Four-week to eight-week rest periods throughout the course of training are encouraged to give the mind and body time to rest and heal. To be a well-balanced martial artist, you do not have to be a com- petitor. Rather, you need to have advanced knowledge in the arts of Boxing, Kickboxing, Karate and Kung-Fu, as well as a deep understanding in all the stances, advanced coordination, power, speed, balance and reflexes. Of course, it can take some longer than others to finish the pro- gram depending on a students’ backgrounds, how quickly they learn or how regularly they break in training. If a student has nev- er done martial arts before, one advantage is that there are no bad habits to correct and no prior knowledge to confuse the teaching, however they may take more time to gain an understanding of the core system. The divisions below give you a clear understanding of each area of the martial arts covered under the Calasanz System. There are many detailed articles to give you deeper insights into these martial arts concepts at http://blog.calasanz.com/. Once you become well-balanced and knowledgeable enough in the martial arts, you can use them and build upon them to make your own unique style or system. Before we start teaching a student, we make sure we have an understanding of his or her core ability. We take into account their level of coordination, aptitude towards understanding move- ments, as well as various other physical and mental benchmarks of skills, talents and abilities. This custom-tailored approach is what makes Calasanz’s approach unique. Every student has a different set of priorities and goals.
