  2. Humans are an active and social species that has lived in harmony with nature for around 200 000 years. So having to stay inside away from friends, family and the natural world for prolonged periods of time directly clashes with many of our basic needs. This, in turn, can take a toll on our wellbeing and leave us feeling down. So, in this article, we will give you our top 10 wellbeing tips to help you overcome the lockdown blues. 1)Sleep Well Getting enough sleep, and having a consistent sleeping pattern is arguably one of the most crucial things you can do to keep your wellbeing tip-top.

  3. According to the NHS, lack of sleep can increase your risk of heart disease and diabetes, shorten your life expectancy, increase anxiety, depression and low mood, and make you gain weight. So the consequences of a seemingly simple habit are huge. Many of the wellness tips we will outline in this article can indirectly help you to sleep well, but some important things you need to do are: Go to sleep and wake up at the same time every day. Reduce caffeine intake (especially in the evening). Get plenty of exercise. Reduce screentime at night. Get plenty of natural light in the day.

  4. 2) Get as Much Natural Light as Possible. Especially important during lockdown – this is another simple habit that can have a huge impact on your wellbeing. Vitamin D When exposed to sunlight, our skin uses UVB rays to synthesise Vitamin D, which is important for a well functioning immune system and healthy bones, teeth, muscles and skin.

  5. Vitamin D deficiency is very common in countries that do not get sufficient sunlight, such as the UK. So the government recommends that everyone supplements with Vitamin D during the winter. However, considering it’s now spring, with summer on the horizon and we are spending nearly all of our time indoors, we all need to take precautions right now to ensure that we do not become deficient. The best way to get vitamin D is with sunlight, 10-30 minutes of exposure per day is deemed as sufficient. If you are fortunate enough to have a garden, make the most of it! If not you could use your daily exercise time outdoors. When self-isolating or if you cannot go outside for whatever reason, sit by an open window (glass can block UVB rays). If you cannot do any of the above then you may need to buy a Vitamin D supplement. Circadian Rythm

  6. Your circadian rhythm is responsible for regulating and setting your sleeping patterns. Exposure to natural light has a direct impact on your circadian rhythm by signalling day and night. If you are spending all day inside in a dark room, your body will have a hard telling the difference between night and day. So it’s very important to get plenty of natural light in the day and then reduce unnatural light in the evenings. 3) Exercise

  7. Exercise is a quick and easy way to give you a wellness boost. In fact, the benefits can be felt just minutes after doing a workout. Exercise not only helps you stay in shape, but also encourages the release of endorphins that make you feel good, helps you sleep at night, and significantly reduces the risk of many chronic diseases. You don’t have to ware yourself out completely to feel the benefits, doing too much can sometimes be counterproductive. Whether you go for a light jog, follow a workout video on Youtube, lift weights, do Yoga or just go for a walk. Any exercise is better than nothing. 4) Breathe

  8. This may seem obvious, of course breathing is important – we need it to survive! But you can actually manipulate your breathing to your own advantage. If you are feeling stressed or anxious, taking long, deep breaths can help to dissolve any discomfort. Furthermore, certain breathing techniques, such as the Wim Hoff Method, have been proven to increase energy, reduce stress and improve immune system function. We highly recommend reading up on this! 5) Mindfulness, Meditation and Living in the Now

  9. Using the power of the mind to optimise wellbeing and health has been practised for at least 5000 years and has been recently backed by numerous scientific studies. Lockdown means that many of us have more time on our hands than usual, and this can be used as the perfect time to look inward and unlock the potential of the mind. For tips on how to meditate, head over to the following article –Can CBD Help With Meditation? One key aspect of mindfulness and meditation is to ‘live in the now‘. Most of us spend a significant amount of time and energy worrying about things that have happened in the past, or things that may or may not happen in the future. As a consequence, this can leave us feeling stressed and anxious now, which is the only time that really exists, right now. By training your mind to focus 100% on the present moment, you will be happier, less stressed and live a more fulfilling life.

  10. 6) Disconnect Whilst no one can deny the wide range of benefits that technology, such as smartphones, brings to the table, they must be used with caution. The focus of most Social Media platforms is to keep you engaged and try to make you spend as much time as possible on that platform. They certainly succeed in this, but as a consequence, many of us are addicted to social media. When a habit turns into an addiction, it’s always wise to take action.

  11. Recent studies are revealing that Social Media can have a detrimental impact on mental health, increasing anxiety and depression across the world. We recommend setting yourself some limits, perhaps only checking for updates 3 times per day, or not using your phone past a certain time in the evening. Whatever works for you. As long as you are in control and not addicted, social media has many benefits, such as keeping in touch with family and friends during lockdown. 7) Eat Whole Foods You are what you eat, as the saying goes… Ensuring that your body is getting all the nutrients it needs is

  12. crucial for good health, both in the short and long term. Whole, unprocessed foods are the best things you can eat. They are dense in nutrients, have no additives and also better for the environment! As with whole foods, Whole Plant CBD Oil also tends to contain a wider range of beneficial compounds than over-processed CBD Oils. Diets based mainly, or entirely on whole plants have been proven to significantly reduce and even reverse many of today’s common illnesses. And when you eat what your body wants, you will be rewarded with endorphins that give you a wellbeing boost! 8) Do More of What You Love

  13. Life is too short to spend doing things you do not truly enjoy. If lockdown means you have more free time, why not make the most of it and do more of what you love? Reading, learning new skills, playing an instrument, or playing cards with your loved ones are all examples of things one could do. Whatever you love doing, doing more of it will make you feel good and increase your quality of life. 9) Surround Yourself with Plants If you can’t go to the nature, bring the nature to you! Houseplants have many benefits that can help you feel good during lockdown.

  14. They can help purify the air in your house or apartment, improve mood, reduce stress and increase productivity. Many plants also release terpenes, that can have a wide range of additional benefits. If you don’t have any plants in your house, you might want to consider ordering some online. 10) Supplement With CBD Hemp Oil Last, but certainly not least, supplementing with CBD Hemp Oil is proving to be a popular choice for helping to promote wellbeing, with sales surging across the world as people experience the benefits first-hand.

  15. CBD Hemp Oils made using a Whole Plant Extract not only contain CBD but also hundreds of other compounds that can have a positive impact on general health and wellbeing. They contain other cannabinoids such as CBDa, CBG, and CBC, terpenes, flavonoids, essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals that all naturally occur in the hemp plant. These compounds work in synergy and complement the effects of each other which increases its potency. This is known as the entourage effect.
