  1. Experiential marketing and its future in 2021

  2. How can organizations take marketing to the next level and powerfully connect with their clients? Experiential marketing. Experiential Marketing 101Social media and technological innovation have made it easier for organizations to market to their target audience. What is missing, however, is a tangible, long-term connection with the consumer. Think about the messaging you encounter online, the billboards you drive by, and the ads you see on TV – how many of them can you recall?  These communications mostly serve as background noise and don’t make a meaningful, lasting impact.

  3. “Appropriate for almost any kind of business, experiential events allow potential customers to meaningfully interact with products and forge a connection with your brand,” said Bradley Dean, Principal, Granite Productions. According to Dean, experiential marketing draws in potential customers and provides them with a genuine, memorable experience by engaging all five senses.

  4. Experiential Marketing Examples • Samplings • Test drives  • In-store experiences • Trade shows • Face-to-face marketing

  5. Experiential Marketing in 2021Experiential marketing has grown exponentially in the last few years. Even though COVID-19 has put a considerable dent in this industry – at least when it comes to in-person experiences – experts are already witnessing a recovery and expect experiential marketing to trend upwards in the years ahead.

  6. Virtual encounters will continue to save the dayVirtual encounters have grown by leaps and bounds – especially during Covid-19. In 2021 and beyond, we will see the innovation used to power these encounters become even more advanced, including tech like XR and extended reality. XR tech either immerses the user in a virtual environment or adds to their surroundings. An example of this is ‘try before you buy’ experiences. So, for example, shoppers on beauty sites can turn on their laptop camera and see what a lipstick shade will look like on them prior to purchasing.

  7. Brands will increasingly incorporate gamification experiencesLive polling at conferences, real-time surveys, and virtual networking continue to foster connectivity during virtual events. In 2021, more and more brands will incorporate sophisticated gamification experiences. During the pandemic, a number of brands even hosted events within popular gaming platforms and that trend will continue.

  8. Virtual events will allow brands to dramatically expand their audience Many events were taken online during the pandemic and that trend will continue. Due to reduced operation costs and to appeal to more people, organizers are choosing to offer their events for free or a significantly reduced rate. This has greatly increased attendance (and exposure) for a number of events and brands. No longer limited by geographic barriers, brands are targeting more people from across the globe. Going forward, brands will start to host hybrid virtual/in-person events.
