  2. If you’ve ever installed high-voltage gear like an electric vehicle (EV) charger, you know the struggle: Tight metal enclosures, sharp edges and barely enough space to route stiff 6-gauge wire – it’s a recipe for frustration (not to mention bloody knuckles). It’s an all-too-common challenge for electrical contractors who, quite literally, put their blood, sweat and tears into these installs. We hear it all the time, just luckily not about our enclosures. What’s become a widespread issue across the industry is something we take great pride in solving. Because we actually design and engineer our EV chargers and other pedestals with the electrical contractor and integrator in mind. We know the real difference happens inside the box, where layout, space and accessibility determine whether you leave the job with a clean install or a couple of sliced-up fingers.

  3. A Better Installation Experience We’re especially proud of the space and accessibility built into our EV housings, because high- voltage installs leave zero room for error. These towers feature an unusually spacious cavity – big enough to handle 240-volt wiring without turning the job into a game of electrical Tetris. Here’s how one contractor put it: “With typical housings, we find ourselves trying to squeeze in giant wires for a 40-amp or 60- amp charging system, and when we try to put the cover back on, we’re always worried about getting a wire pinched between two pieces of metal. The unit shorts out, there’s melting and burning, and it creates all sorts of problems. Installation is much faster with Pedestal Pro because we’re not spending time trying to make things fit; we also don’t get our fingers and hands cut up from working in too tight a space.” Exactly. Instead of forcing wire to bend into impossible shapes, we’ve made space for it to route cleanly and directly into the breaker. The front panel comes off easily, and the internal layout is designed to give you access where you need it, without contortions or compromise.

  4. Maintenance Matters Too We’ve all been there: opening up an enclosure a few years after install and bracing for chaos. You find a spaghetti mess of zip ties, a wire barely holding on and maybe even someone else’s blood still inside (no, seriously). That’s why space matters. Serviceability needs to be built in from the start, because if maintenance is difficult, small problems tend to snowball. Technicians should be able to open up a housing and know exactly what’s going on inside. A little extra room during install makes troubleshooting way easier (and less painful) down the road. That leads to less downtime, smoother repairs and a longer lifespan for the product.

  5. Not Just for EV And it’s not just EV chargers that benefit from this kind of thoughtful design. The same design philosophy carries across all of our products, from blue light towers to security pedestals. If it needs wiring, it should be built to make wiring easier. Period. The experience of the product isn’t just about the end user – it starts long before that. It’s about the contractor installing it, the technician servicing it and the team maintaining it years down the road. If their job is smoother, the whole experience is better for everyone. And the tech shines even brighter.
