  1. Different Types of Eye Surgery and Their Effectiveness There are various types of eye surgery for correcting vision. All of them Laser eye surgery has become more and more popular.

  2. s Types of Eye Surgery 1. Laser Eye Surgery 2. IntraLense 3. Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK) 4. Non-laser Eye Surgery 5. Implantable Contact Lenses

  3. 1. Laser Eye Surgery The most common type of laser eye surgery is also called Lasik eye surgery.Lasik surgery carefully removes the corneal tissue with a laser and this gentle laser then reshapes the cornea itself.

  4. s 2. IntraLense This type of eye surgery is also very similar to LASIK, except that the surgeon uses an extra laser instead of a blade to create the flap in the outer layers. s

  5. 3. Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK) Photorefractive Keratotomy (or PRK) is just like LASIK, but is slightly safer.A laser is used to remove tissue from the outer layer of the cornea and correct vision.

  6. 4. Non-laser Eye Surgery These surgical procedures involve improving vision by cutting into the surface of the eye, reshaping the cornea or using low heat radio waves.

  7. 5. Implantable Contact Lenses The lens is placed behind the iris, in front of the natural lens of the eye. Unlike normal contact lenses, you can't feel them and they don't need maintenance.
