  3. About The Bangalore Medical College & Research Institute (BMCRI), founded in the year 1955 by Mysore Education Society. The college is one of the premier Government-owned autonomous medical colleges in Bangalore. It is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS).  The Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute have an annual intake of 250 Undergraduate, 135 Postgraduate, 12 Doctoral, and 71 Diploma students. The college is centrally located close to three teaching hospitals like Victoria Hospital, Vanivilas Women's and Children's Hospital, and Minto Eye Hospital.
