  2. ABOUT US Back in 1981, our founders, Ajit Mody & Lata Mody, a visionary Indian couple living in the USA, realized the lack of authentic Indian sweets in the USA. They dreamed of helping fellow desis who missed authentic Indian sweets. They brought their dream to life, by opening a small sweet shop in Jackson Heights, New York. This sweet shop served authentic Indian sweets made in pure ghee and mawa and they were handmade by our founder, Lata Mody. With the love and support of our customers, we extended our sweet shop and added an Indian chaat section, which was a success too. A few years later, the next generation joined the family business and together they made the brand what it is today. Sons of our founders, Sanjiv Mody an engineer by profession, Sachin Mody a graduate from NYU came together with modern strategies, techniques and a vision to expand the business across the nation. This young, enthusiastic, and hardworking brother-duo successfully planned and launched the brand’s very first sweet manufacturing factory in 1990. A few years later in 2008-2009, Rajbhog Catering came into existence.  We look forward to the bright future of Rajbhog Foods. Our vision is to make Rajbhog Foods, the first choice of every household across the globe. We aim at being a global brand that brings Indians and people from various ethnicities closer to authentic Indian food. Our motto is to deliver authentic Indian food of the highest quality at minimal rates so that everyone can enjoy the joy of delicious food.
