  1. ELECTROMAGNETIC EDDY CURRENT BRAKE: TYPES & APPLICATIONS! BMC MOTOR WWW.BMCMOTOR.COM

  2. Eddy-current brakes, commonly referred to as electric ones, are a substitute for conventional hydraulic ones. This device uses an electromagnetic force between an electromagnet and the surrounding conductive material, such as eddy current induced in that for electromagnetic induction, to slow down or stop a moving body by dissipating its kinetic energy as heat and braking force. In today's world, electromagnetic eddy current brake is used in numerous applications.

  3. TYPES OF ELECTROMAGNETIC EDDY CURRENT BRAKE Linear Eddy-Current Brakes Here, the magnet is maintained at a constant distance from the rail rather than touching it. As opposed to a disc brake, which physically touches each segment of the disc through the brake, this linear brake only goes through its magnetic field, which results in less heat production, less noise, no wear-and-tear, and a higher braking power than traditional disc brakes. 4. DISK EDDY-CURRENT BRAKES A conductive non-ferromagnetic metallic disc (rotor) fastened to the wheel axle makes up a disc eddy current brake. These are used in power tools like circular saws and transportation like trains to halt the blade once the current is cut off promptly. These brakes heat up more quickly than a standard linear brake.

  5. CONCLUSION In an expanding world, electromagnetic eddy current brake technology is a helpful resource. A safer and more effective world is emerging as innovations are created. The innovations include roller coasters, industrial tools, entertainment, and transportation improvements. We may use the eddy current brake for many more things than we think in our daily lives. Pay attention to how this cutting-edge innovation is being used in everyday life!
