GRAMMAR AND PRONUNCIATION How to improve your skills?
THE KEY IS TO LISTEN The first step to improving English pronunciation is to LISTEN more carefully. Over the next few days, listen more carefully to the sounds of English. When people speak, usually our total focus is on the literal meaning of the words. So instead of listening to "What" people are saying, listen to "How" they are saying it.
6 STEPS TO ENHANCE PRONUNCIATION:
CONSECTETUR ADIPISCING ELIT SPEND 15 MINUTES A DAY IMPROVING ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION. Your pronunciation and English accent won’t improve without effort. You need to spend at least 15 minutes a day building these skills. You can do it while doing your day-to-day activities, like cooking dinner. It takes at least 15-30 minutes to cook, so while you're making your nilatang baboy, talk out loud to yourself while you do it. 2. LISTEN MORE, TO YOURSELF AND OTHERS. The first step to improving your English pronunciation is to listen more. If you listen more, you will be able to identify the paralanguage part of speech. These are non-verbal elements of speech used to modify meaning and convey emotion (It includes pitch, pace, volume, and intonation) This is significant when evaluating calls, so you can determine whether your customer is being sincere or sarcastic.
3. SPEAK MORE, TO YOURSELF AND OTHERS. When I ask people what they're doing to speak be?er English they often say “watching English Movies”. Does watching English movies and listening to English radio help you speak be?er English? Not really! That would be like watching Michael Jackson dance and sing and hoping you will develop his skills. You need to take action on it! You can find a partner to practice with, or you can always speak to yourself. Try to record yourself, listen, and then point out the areas where you need to improve. 4. FOCUS MORE ON THE MOVEMENT OF YOUR MOUTH. Pronunciation is a physical skill. How good you are at making the sounds of English words, depends on how well you can control your mouth movements.
5. TUNE INTO THE STRESS AND RHYTHM OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. If you have incorrect stress and emphasis it will make your English unclear to listeners. Stress and emphasis are often difficult for non-native speakers to pick up because you can’t tell by looking at the word where the stress will be. Listening is so important! It is through listening to the stress and rhythm of the people around you, that you will pick this up and improve it. 6. BEWARE OF SPELLING TRAPS. “The only consistent rule you need to remember for English pronunciation is that there are no rules.”
English is not a phonetic language, meaning that the way a word is wri?en does not tell us exactly how it is pronounced. Do not rely on spelling, you need to rely more on the way the words are pronounced by English native speakers. This comes back to listening more carefully. Watch out for meat and great and threat. ‘meat’ – it’s pronounced exactly the same as ‘meet’ ‘great’ – it’s pronounced exactly the same as ‘grate’ ‘threat’ – it’s the same vowel as in ‘met’ The moral is that it’s time to stop relying on the way words look and start to use your ears!

WHAT IS A QA CALIBRATION? Calibration is a standardized process of evaluating and scoring customer interactions, to achieve consistency across your entire contact center/support department. It is bringing in key individuals involved in the quality calibration process together to grade the same customer- service interactions. It’s a fair and balanced way to establish the grading criteria, eliminating the risk of bias and creating an equal playing field. 01 02 03
WHY DOES QA CALIBRATION MATTER? This helps your QA analysts, team leaders, managers, and agents understand exactly which metrics ma?er and how scores should be assigned. It ensures consistent evaluation of customer interactions and coaching practices across the entire department. Quality assurance calibration is essential to make sure the process is accurate, fair, and transparent. To establish and define expectations, and make sure they’re being met. To review inconsistencies in ratings, so that scoring can be identified and discussed. Through calibration, it should become obvious what expectations the company has for each interaction between agents and consumers, across all touch points. 01 02 However, these may need to be altered over time as you continue to gain insights into customer preferences and satisfaction levels.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF QUALITY MONITORING AND CALL CALIBRATION? (Training/Coaching and Feedback Improvements) The more you assess and evaluate your customer interactions, the be?er the customer experience will be. And the more likely those customers are to speak highly of your contact center to other potential clients.
