Types of Programs Associate Degree Program Traditional 4 semesters M-F Admits 2 times per year (Fall and Spring) 40 Students per admission OCTC@OMHS 4 semesters hybrid delivery admits every fall 25 students per admission LPN-RN Bridge 2.5 semesters Admits every fall 30 students per admission Practical Nursing Program Traditional Program 3 semesters admits every 4th semester 30 students per admission Weekend ADVANTAGE 15 months Thursday evenings and Saturdays Admits every May 30 student per admission

Enrollment ADN – Total 184 Traditional 1st Semester – 39 2nd Semester – 39 3rd Semester – 17 4th Semester – 23 OCTC at OMHS 1st Semester – 24 3rd Semester – 17 LPN-RN Bridge Bridge course - 25 PN Traditional 1st semester – 17 Weekend 3rd Semester – 14 Total Number of New Students: 105 Total Number of Students in Both programs: 215

Innovative Programs Discover College Nurse Track Targets Juniors who are interested in seeking a career in nursing 1st program to guarantee admission to a high school graduate Requires selection from high school counselors Must complete pre-requisites in Senior Year 14 students from: Hancock, Ohio, Owensboro, Owensboro Catholic, Apollo, and Daviess County High Will start Associate Degree Program in Fall 2009

    6. Innovative Programs ABC Training Series Encore (MetLife grant) Recruitment/Retention grant for nurses over age 50 Designed to re-train nurses for second careers in education 2 days April, May, June sessions 28 nurses attended 14 interviewed 5 hired

Grant Information HRSA Grant Used to start weekend career mobility program Targeted minorities and disadvantages persons Sustainable program at the end Ended June 30th 2008 Encore Grant Used to retrain retirement age nurses Ended June 30th 2008 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Funds OCTC@OMHS program Targets front line workers Ends in 2009
