  • An integrated business database containing information from more than a dozen major business reference sources, including company directories, encyclopedias, statistical compendia, and investment services. Provides company profiles, industry overviews, industry statistics, market research reports, company rankings, histories, and chronologies, news stories, and full-text periodical articles.

  • Provides overviews for more than 32,000 public and private companies in the U.S. and around the world. Users can browse the complete list, or search by company name, ticker, keyword, or executive's name. Capsules provide a brief narrative summary of the business, list major subsidiaries, identify key competitors, cite key executive's names and link to news stories and (for public companies only) financial statements and stock charts. Company Capsules also link to the firm's Home Page, as well as other external data, which may include a company history, mission statement, and company rankings.

  • The two main components are: Publications Library - Full-text stories from nearly 8,000 newspapers, magazines, newsletters, and wire service worldwide, plus transcripts of television and radio news programs. Includes full-text of the Wall Street Journal from June 1979 to present.

  • Business Source Premier indexes more than 4,100 journals, including nearly 3,300 full-text titles. Many of the full-text items are also available as scanned images. Topics cover nearly every area of business including management, economics, finance, accounting, international business, and more.
  • Datamonitor Company Reports: Contains timely comprehensive company (public & private) profiles. Just look for the "Company Profile" button at the top of the search screen and search for a company. BSP is also a good source of current news stories. Do a "Company Entity" (select from drop down menu) search on any company.

  • One of the world's leading databases for business-related periodicals. It is particularly useful for locating articles from academic journals in all areas of management but also includes general business magazines, professional journals, and selected trade journals. Among its many subject strengths are corporate finance, organizational behavior, managerial economics, information systems, telecommunications, and health care administration.
  • Provides citations with abstracts and, for more than half the entries, the full text of articles from more than 1,000 business-related periodicals, including approximately 350 foreign publications.

  • Covers provides full-text access to more than 700 trade publications. Every major industry is represented including telecommunications, computing, transportation, construction, petrochemicals, and many others. Full-text coverage varies, but can go as far back as 1987.   • Provides full-text articles and reports from more than 6,000 magazines, newspapers, wire services, legal resources, reference books, and government publications from around the world.
  • Consists of five major segments. The following segment would be used for business research:

Business Library - Business news, company profiles, financial statements, bankruptcy reports, accounting pronouncements, investment analysis, business directories, and more.

Free online service that purports to be Americas largest annual report service. Provides access to the most recent annual report to shareholders as well as the most recent Form 10-K.

IRIN: Annual Report Resource Center

The Investor Relations Information Network (IRIN) is a free annual report service that provides access to more than 9,700 current and historical electronic annual reports (back to the mid nineties for some companies) are accessible through this service and if you want to request a hard copy of an annual report, IRIN will forward your request to the appropriate company.
