  1. What is ASTM A193? The specification for ASTM A193 covers alloy and stainless steel bolting for pressure vessels, valves, flanges, and fittings for high temperature or high pressure service, or other special purpose applications. The ASTM A193 specification covers bars, bolts, screws, studs, stud bolts, and wire. Fasteners Manufacturers What does ASTM A193 mean? ASTM A193 defines both SI (Metric) and inch-pound units. Grade B7 is a heat- treated chromium-molybdenum low-alloy steel with minimum tensile strength requirement of 125 ksi (860 Mpa), yield 105 ksi (720 Mpa), and maximum hardness of 35HRC. What is the difference between A193 and A194? ASTM A193 Grade B8M Class 1 fasteners require a carbide solution treatment, while Class 2 fasteners require an additional strain hardening just like B 8 fasteners. ASTM A194 GRADE 8M Stainless steel nuts are required for these fasteners. 8.8 Grade Bolt Manufacturers What are the benefits of using ASTM A193? ASTM A193 is a standard that specifies the properties of aluminum, copper, or steel wire used in the manufacture of an aluminum, copper, or steel wire rope. For aluminum, copper, or steel wire ropes, this standard specifies the minimum tensile strength, minimum ultimate elongation, minimum breaking strength, minimum yield strength, minimum elongation at break, minimum ultimate elongation at break, minimum breaking elongation at break, minimum proof stress, and minimum proof stress at a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius. Stud Bolts and Nuts Conclusion. ASTM 193/A 193M is the standard that covers alloy and stainless steel bolting material for pressure vessels, valves, flanges, and fittings for high-temperature service. The term bolting material as used in this specification covers bars, bolts, screws, studs, stud bolts, and wire. Bars and wire shall be hot-wrought. The material may be further processed by centerless grinding or by cold +91 83690 74984 | sales@anankafasteners.com | https://anankafasteners.com/

  2. drawing. Austenitic stainless steel may be carbide solution treated or carbide solution treated and strain-hardened. One of the most common alloy and stainless industrial fasteners is the Grade B7 studs and Grade B8 stud respectively. +91 83690 74984 | sales@anankafasteners.com | https://anankafasteners.com/
