  1. What Should Be The Ideal Temperature Of The Swimming Pool? Maintaining a proper temperature is very important in a commercial swimming pool. The temperature of a water for competitive swimming pools such as Olympics swimming and the red cross is between 77° to 82° F. Have you ever wondered that what temperature is too warm for a commercial pool? You may be thinking that your pool cleaning service will take care of that, but it better to have the knowledge about the water temperature. Especially, when you are the owner of the facility. Pool water should not be too warm, warm water can be harmful to swimmers in a number of ways muscle cramps, dehydration and overheating of the body are some of the health issues athletes can suffer from when the water is too warm than the normal temperature. Another thing is that water chemistry is also a factor that comes into play when the water is too warm, it is very difficult to treat warm water with pool chemicals. And warm water creates an ideal condition for the bacteria,

  2. algae and other organisms, this is obviously harmful to everyone in a commercial swimming pool. The ideal temperature for competitive pools should not be higher than 82°F, and for aquatic facilities, it should be not higher than 84°F. But that doesn’t mean you should keep the water too cool for a commercial pool. Too cold water can be dangerous for those who have heart problems, they can go into cardiac arrest, which can be fatal. Too cold water also affects the chemical reaction in the water, it slows down the chlorine demand which can create chlorination issues. It is also a fact that most of the salt chlorine generators will not operate below the water temperature of 60°F. For aquatic facilities the ideal temperature of the water is between 82° to 85°F. Many swimming pool services also believe that 82° to 85°F is the most comfortable temperature for a commercial aquatic facility.
