The difference between SCM and logistics is that SCM is focused on managing all aspects of a supply chain, including sourcing, manufacturing, production, distribution, and fulfillment. Logistics focuses on transportation. However, today more companies are combining both functions under one umbrella term as they realize that having an integrated approach will create more value for their customers and partners alike.
