  1. FIVE EASY STEPS TO PAINT WOODEN FLOORING Step 1: Sanding the Floor Begin by sanding your wooden floor to take off the varnish and create a smooth surface for your new paint to adhere to. Sanding the floor allows for better adhesion and greater durability of the finish on the floor. Step 2: Cleaning the Surface After sanding, it's best to vacuum up all the dust and dirt. After vacuuming, wipe down with a degreaser to make sure everything is clean and ready to paint. Step 3: Taping the Edges When the floor is fully dry, tape off the skirting boards where the wall meets the floor with masking tape. This is also to protect the edges and make sure your paint job looks neat. Step 4: Painting the Floor Make sure to stir the paint first. Use a brush to cut in around the edges, then use a roller for the larger areas. Make sure you apply at least two coats of Dulux floor paint so that the finish is even. Step 5: Finishing the Skirting When the floor is dry, cover the painted floor and paint the skirting boards. Apply 2 coats of even paint color, allow each coat to dry fully, then gently remove the tape. For more Information Visit https://www.dulux.lk/en
