  • to motivate auto refinish shops to adopt best practices and technologies that reduce risk and pollution

  • 60,000 shops, 150,000 auto refinishers in the U.S.

  • Shops use & release harmful chemicals (diisocyanates, solvents, paint additives)

  • Diisocyanates are a leading cause of occupational asthma

  • Air emissions may pose a risk to nearby residents
