  2. Communication and quality time with loved ones is a priority for people of all ages. Especially as you get older, that time is cherished and treasured even more. According to the National Council on Aging’s website, a new survey was posted on how over 90% of seniors’ health and well-being may actually depend on how much time they spend with their extended family.

  3. Interesting statistic is that nearly one-third of seniors see themselves as the “connector” in the family—meaning they believe their role is to encourage communication among family and help coordinate gatherings and reunions.

  4. But, how? And how can seniors utilize technology and all the online tools in this manner? Well, fortunately, there are numerous articles and resources out there to help start. For one, on Parentgiving.com, they have conducted numerous studies and surveys and have conducted piles of research to figure out how to tackle this problem-turned-opportunity.

  5. With nearly 47% of baby boomers actively maintaining a profile on social media, they are predicting that when families get together for holidays, the younger generations will engage their older relatives in a discussion about staying in touch via technology. There are even local area agencies that offer community classes to help get seniors started with technology tools and basics of communication with technology.
