  1. Have Hot Water But No Heating? Here’s How You Can Fix It Have hot water but no central heating? Your boiler system is functioning well, fulfilling the hot water requirements but central heating is not working. Most probably, this could be due to incorrect settings on your boiler or the broken boiler component which is a motorised diverter valve. Whatever the cause behind this issue, our experts at Warmtouch Heating provide reliable Boiler Installation and Repairs in Richmond. Check All the Radiators If you’re facing issues with central heating, then the first thing you should do is look at all the radiators in your house to know if they’re working fine. If just one radiator is slightly warm, then there is nothing to worry about but if one of your radiators is mildly warm, then you should try to bleed your radiators. If the radiators are cold at the sides and bottom but warm on the top, then this probably means that the radiators have a lot of sludge. This requires a good cleaning of radiators. Check the Thermostat Settings You should check the thermostat settings for any potential issues causing the central heating to not work. You should check if the thermostat on your boiler is turned up properly and the timers are set appropriately. With a power cut, your boiler settings may have reset and you need to adjust the settings again. If the clocks have recently gone backwards or forwards, then your time may be set incorrectly and will need to be reset again. Boiler Problems Ensuring your boiler pressure is at one bar is so essential. If the water pressure is too low, it means that central heating cannot perform as it should. Make sure to repressurise your boiler if it’s below one bar, for that you can refer to the user manual. Try resetting your boiler, you can do this either with customer customer- operated reset button or a switch located on the outside of the system, probably on the front. You should not remove the cover of your boiler or any casing to access this button. Alternatively, turn the electric power to your boiler off, wait 30 seconds, and then turn it back on. Broken Diverter Valves If you’ve tried everything out but your central heating is still not working, then it is probably due to a broken diverter valve. These valves switch heat between your water supply and your central heating. With time and regular use, these valves can become faulty or damaged, making them unsuccessful in changing positions therefore, either central heating or hot water will stop working. Still, the problem is not resolved. Don’t worry, our boiler experts at Warmtouch Heating can help you.
