Duplex Threaded Rod are characterized by their high yield strength, which is twice that of the annealed yield strength of typical austenitic stainless steels, like 304 and 316 stainless steel threaded rods. Because of this, Duplex 2205 and Super Duplex 2507 steel are some of the most common grades of duplex used for threaded rods. These threaded rods improves corrosion resistance and are often used in chemical processing, petrochemicals, power industry and seawater equipment.

  3. The stability of duplex steel does not suffer at higher temperatures or in environments containing sulphur and chloride. This special material combines high strength and very good corrosion properties in a single material. It is also resistant to surface corrosion and pitting. The material demonstrates good wear properties in terms of fatigue or erosion. Further beneficial properties of this duplex stainless steel include its good weldability and low thermal expansion coefficient.
