SOFAR Wi-Fi Connection Instructions You will need: -Mobile/tablet/laptop device -Your Home Wi-Fi name and password details (located on the bottom of your modem) - Inverter Wifi Dongle Username & Password (example below) Sofar inverter wifi dongle – EXAMPLE NEW GENERATION INVERTERS OLDER GENERATION INVERTERS

  2. 1.Disconnect your mobile/tablet/laptop device from your home Wi-Fi network. You will need to “forget this network”. EXAMPLE steps below: Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 2.Once you have disconnected from your home Wi-Fi network, you will need to connect to the inverter’s internal Wi-Fi network. You should see an AP_########## network in your list of available Wi-Fi networks. Select this network. EXAMPLE below:

  3. STEP 2 – NOTES •Newer Generation Inverter Models will require a Password. This is located on the wifi dongle. •Older Generation Inverter Models will automatically connect. No password required. If you can’t find the “AP_########” network, you can ‘reset’ the inverter wifi dongle by holding down the reset button for 5 seconds. After 1 minute the AP_####### network should appear. + 3.Once you have connected to the inverter network. OPEN a web browser/internet page ie. safari, google, firefox etc. and type in the search bar 10.10.100.254 then search.

  4. 4.Once you’ve entered and searched the IP address 10.10.100.254 the following window will appear. Enter the username and password, login. Username: admin Password: admin 5.The Inverter Wizard SetUp page will appear.

  5. 6.Select the Wizard (left side menu) 7.A list of wireless networks will appear. Select your home Wi-Fi network. Make sure the RSSI number is no less than 15. If less than 15 your Wi-Fi network signal is too weak and you will need to install a Wi-Fi booster/extender within your home to boost the Wi-Fi signal to your inverter.

  6. 8.Enter your home Wi-Fi password. Press Next. 9.Enhance Security - Press Next

  7. 10.Setting Complete! Press Ok 11.If successful you will be able to see your solar production data in the SolarMan Smart app within 5 -10mins.
