Fronius Inverter Lights – What do they mean? Fronius Snap Inverter (older generation inverter)
Fronius Gen24 Inverter (new generation inverter) POWER BUTTON: ➔ During the day, your lights should be green and blue. If green light is on but blue light is not, it just means your system is not connected to Wi-Fi. The system is still working! ➔ Solid green light indicates the inverter is working and producing power. ➔ Flashing green indicates the inverter is starting up, usually takes about two minutes. ➔ During the day if you see a yellow light this indicates a non-critical problem but is affecting your solar production. Check inverter switches & check monitoring for any error codes, contact installer. ➔ AT NIGHT - Yellow at night is normal- solar panels don’t work at night as there’s no sun. ➔ A solid red may mean a critical error, turn the system off and on again (guide is usually labeled on the inverter), if once done that it is still presenting, contact installer. WIFI BUTTON: ➔ Solid blue light indicates connected to the internet. ➔ Solid red light means lost connection to WiFi. ➔ Solid yellow means never connected. Please contact installer for wifi connection instructions.
TOUCH BUTTON: ➔ If your system was previously connected to WiFi but has dropped out, you can tap twice on the middle button ‘hand symbol’. When you see a green flashing light, this means it is trying to reconnect to your home WiFi. This will not guarantee a reconnection, but you can check your Solar.web monitoring APP/platform after a few minutes, which will confirm if the reconnection was successful. ➔ If you tap the middle button ‘hand symbol’ once, there will be a blue light flashing which will indicate it is trying to connect to your phone (your phone needs to be with you at the inverter, it can’t be far away otherwise it won’t find the connection). If it connects, you can use your phone as the inverter screen. No guarantee it will connect. ➔ Doing a reset on the inverter might automatically reconnect it to Wi-Fi if it was already connected.
