INSTRUCTIONS FOR BROTHER MFC J1205W SETUP SETUP The compactly designed Brother MFC J1205W INKvestment tank printer is sleek and very affordable.Brother MFC J1205W Setup is a multi-functioning printer that enables you to print, scan, and copy. The device comes with InkJet printing technology with a user-friendly interface that helps set up and operate it easily. It is a revolutionary printer as it features re- engineered high-capacity ink cartridges. You can connect the device using a wireless network. The device is built with many admirable features like mobile printing, voice-activated printing, etc. Unboxing & Basic Setup Step 1: Unbox The Printer • Open the printer box. •Remove the printer and all the elements from the box. •Check whether you have received all the elements. •Remove all the protective materials and tapes from the printer. •Place the printer closer to the power outlet to access it easily.

  2. Step 2: Turn On The Printer Connect one of the ends of the power cable to the printer’s rear side and another end to the power outlet. Press the Power button on the Brother MFC J1205W printer. Make sure that the Brother MFC J1205W Setup turns on. Step 3: Loading The Paper •Pull out the paper tray completely from the Brother MFC J1205W printer. •Align the paper tray by pressing and squeezing the paper edge guide to make the paper fit the tray. •Place the paper by keeping the printable side facing down. •Adjust the edge guide to the paper. •Ensure that the edges of the loaded paper don’t get damaged. •Insert the paper tray back inside the machine. •Pull out the paper support and flip the stopper. Step 4: Install The Ink Cartridges • Open the ink cartridge cover on the right side of the Brother MFC J1205W Setup. • Remove the ink cartridges from the protective cover. • Peel off the protective tapes from the cartridge. • Do not touch the ink sensor chip on the cartridge. • Insert the cartridge into the ink cartridge slot. • Push it firmly inside the slot until you hear the click sound. • Make sure that you insert it into the respective ink cartridge color slot. • Repeat the steps for the remaining colors of the ink cartridges. • Once installed, close the ink cartridge cover.

Step 5: Installation Of Software •Turn on your computer. •Connect your computer to the Wi-Fi to which the Brother MFC J1205W Setup is connected. •Insert the driver installation CD to install the software. •You can even install the driver from the official web page of Brother. •Check whether you have downloaded the software that supports your OS. •Once downloaded, go to the Downloads page. •Double-click the setup file to install the software. •Wait until the installation process gets completed. •Click Start setup. •Select the Wireless connection option on the Connection method page. •Click Next and then finish the on-screen instructions to complete the setup. •Wait until the installation process gets completed. Brother Mfc J1205W Driver for Windows •Turn on your Windows computer and connect it to the Internet. •Go to the official web page of Brother. •Search for the Brother MFC J1205W printer. •Select the Support tab and choose the Downloads section. •Choose the Windows option from the Select OS Family section and choose your OS version from the Select OS version section. •Once selected, click OK. •Select the printer driver from the list. •Click Download. •Make sure that you agree to the End Users License Agreement. •Wait until the downloading process gets completed.
