  1. PET or Positron Emission Tomography is mostly recommended in cardiology, neurology and cancer treatment. It makes use of radiation to highlight the happening of the body.

  2. PET scan is used to plan treatment, determine how a present condition is developing, diagnose various health conditions and find out the effectiveness of the treatment.

  3. PET scans are commonly used to determine cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, and heart disease. It is not recommended for all patient.
