Singhania University is not blacklisted, fake, illegal, and more rumors are all false Concerned about the future of thousands of students who have taken admitted to various courses at Singhania University, the Rajasthan government has clarified that this university is not on the black list. The clarification comes after reports that the Rajasthan governor had signed an ordinance that would blacklist 10 private universities in the state, including Singhania University. But when Higher Education Department secretary Amit Khare said in a statement, “Singhania University is neither on the blacklist nor a fake university. It is also included in the list issued by the Government of India or UGC. It is a UGC-recognized private university as per Sec. 2f of UGC Act 1956 and located at Pacheri Bari village of Jhunjhunu district and was established under the Rajasthan Private University Act of 2007. The statement further said that 13 private universities were running in the state and all were functioning normally and providing higher education facilities to the students.

2. Singhania University vice-chancellor Krishna Mohan Dixit said they were in constant touch with government officials and there was no such provision under the law to blacklist private universities.
