AAMVA EVVE Pilot Observations • Birth Verification match rates on average(01/01/06 – 05/30/06) • Iowa: 86% match rate • Minnesota: 88% match rate • Missouri: 66% match rate • North Dakota: 77% match rate • South Dakota: 92% match rate • DMV user response times • 8-10 seconds on average • Down time has been minimal

Implementing EVVE • Establish a roll-out plan • Enter into contracts/MOUs • Vital Records Offices • Establish EVVE database • Have EVVE-SI module installed on web server • Identify IT staff support • Identify vital records staff support for no match analysis and data quality evaluation • User agencies • Incorporate EVVE into their business processes • Develop user interface to enter query data and display query response • Generate XML message to interface with the EVVE hub for query requests and responses • Identify agency EVVE management reports • Train users

EVVE Advisory Committee • Establish committee goals • Define process for identifying additional EVVE functional requirements • Should EVVE support batch queries? • Should EVVE provide indications of home births, delayed filings? • Should EVVE support queries on additional data items (bar coded birth certificate, paper control number, etc.)? • Should EVVE support additional vital event queries? • Ensure NAPHSIS, the jurisdictions, and users are working in concert together to rollout a nationwide EVVE system
