  1. Australia host New Zealand in three-match ODI series The New Zealand cricket team will visit Australia for a three-match ODI series on September 2022. The three one-day internationals will take place in Cazalys Stadium, Cairns on September 6, 8 and 11, according to the Australian Cricket Board. Prior to the third ODI, Aaron Finch announced his retirement from ODI cricket on September 10, 2022, but he still intends to participate in T20Is.

Head-to-Head • One Day International matches between the Black Caps and the Baggy Greens have taken place 141 times. • The Australian team has won 95 games, while the New Zealand squad has only won 39 games against Australia so far, falling short of the half-century mark. • From the 2014–15 season of the series, both teams have won their respective host Chappell–Hadlee Trophies.
