  2. Tour Operators in Kerala Kerala was not well-known as a travel destination until the early 1980s, when the majority of travelers visited the country’s northern regions. The kerala tourism Development Corporation, a government organization responsible for the state’s tourism prospects, conducted aggressive marketing efforts that set the groundwork for the best tour operators. It was listed as one of the “ten paradises of the world” and one of the “50 must see destinations of a lifetime” in the Traveler magazine published by national geographic in 2012. Travel and Leisure has recognized as “One of the 100 great trips for the 21st century”.Kerala’s capital, Thiruvananthapuram, is a mesmerizing fusion of culture, history, and scenic beauty. The economy has mostly followed welfare-based democratic socialist ideas ever since it became a state. Despite raising the population’s standard of living and producing a high Human Development Index, this form of development resulted in economic stagnation.
