  3. ABOUT UNIVERSITY Telangana University was founded in 2006 by Act No. 28 of the State Government. The University was founded with the goal of making higher education available to the educationally underserved district of Nizamabad in Telangana. Telangana University received the renowned NAAC "B" Grade with an excellent score of 2.61 in the first cycle evaluation conducted in December 2015. Moreover, The University was visited by an 8-member NAAC team on December 21, 22, and 23, 2015, and received a "B" rating. The University began with six programmes and was in the PG building of the Govt. Giriraj College in the Dubba neighbourhood of Nizamabad.
