Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test (JKSET)

The Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test (JKSET) conducted by Jammu University. This test offers different job role of Assistant Professor and Lecturer post in Jammu and Kashmir University. It is state level exam. This exam contains total of 37 subjects which can be selected by candidates as per their interest. It has category wise application fees having no upper age limit. Any other state candidates can apply for the exam if they want to work in J&K state. Before applying for this JKSET exam candidates must have bacheloru2019s degree.

  1. ELIGIBILITY SYLLABUS JK SET Exam ADMIT CARD

  2. Introduction The Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test is a part of SET exams which are conducted on each state separately. With the scorecard of the JK SET exam, you can apply for any Professor, lecturer and assistant professor post at any university of Jammu and Kashmir. This exam is almost similar to the UGC NET exam which is conducted nationally. The person who qualified for the UGC NET exam need not apply for this exam. The JK SET is an offline mode examination that consists of three different papers. You have to attend one general paper which is common for every candidate. Only the candidates who had completed their Masters or PG in aggregated colleges or universities are eligible for the exam. The notification will be released by the University of Kashmir in which the registration for JK SET will be announced soon.

  3. JK SET Eligibility Criteria The application of the candidates who don’t follow/satisfy the eligibility criteria will not be processed. So, please go through the following criteria before applying. • The candidate must have completed graduate by exams or through UGC recognized exams from an aggregated University. • General candidates must hold a Master’s degree with 55% of the scoring. A relaxation of 5% will be given for other categories. • Candidates who apply for PhD through JK SET also have to possess a Master’s degree. • Candidates from any state who are willing to work in J&K can apply for JK SET. • Selection of the subject for papers must be relevant to the subjects during your Post Graduation. • Those who are pursuing their final years of post-graduation may apply. • There is no upper age limit issued. • The nationality of the candidate must be Indian.

  5. JK SET Admit Card The announcement regarding the JK SET 2021 registration and admit card will be notified by the University of Kashmir. The notifications will be published on the official website of UOK. Only the eligible candidates who have applied for the SET exam will receive the Admit Card. The candidate will not be allowed into the exam hall in absence of the Admit Card. It can be downloaded on the official website of the University of Kashmir.

  6. JK SET Result The results will be published after the release of the answer key, on the official website of the University of Kashmir. The Answer key will be published after the end of the examination. You can download the Answer key to check the scores and challenge/ object it. Later on, the University of Kashmir (UOK) will release the finalized answer key for JK SET 2021 on its website.

  7. How to Check the JK SET Result? 1. Visit the website of the University of Kashmir. Please click the link with the relevant name of “JK SET Results for 2021 PDF Download”. 2. Download it in PDF format if you want for future reference. 3. Now press the ctrl + F button on your keyboard. 4. Enter your enrollment number in the search box that appeared, to see your qualification details. 5. Qualified candidates can only avail the e-certificate online.

  8. How To Apply? The University of Kashmir will announce the registration date for JK SET 2021. The registration can be done online only. The payment process must be done successfully to complete the registration. • Check for the application form link on the official website of UOK. • Click and fill the form with the required details of the candidate. • You have to provide the personal, academic and contact details of the candidate. • A scanned copy of the candidate’s signature and photograph must be uploaded within the given size limit. • Carefully choose the subject you want to appear in the JK SET examination. It is recommended to select subjects relevant to your post-graduation subjects. • The application fee must be paid online via debit card/ credit card and Netbanking. Late submission or payment cannot be processed. Cancellation of the registration and requesting a refund is not possible.

The candidates can expect a minimum salary of Rs 4.92 Lakhs for the Junior Assistant Professor post and move up to 11.88 Lakhs per annum for a Professor post. Q2. What is the Upper Age Limit for SET 2021? Ans. There is no Upper Age limit for the JK SET Examination. Q3. Is there any negative mark for the SET 2021 examination? Ans. No negative marks will be deducted from any wrong answers for SET 2021. Q4. Is there any announcement regarding the dates of the JK SET exam? Ans. Currently, there are no notifications yet. It is expected to be announced by the University of Kashmir in a month. Q5. How do JK SET Qualified candidates apply for jobs? Ans. The total time duration of the JK SET examination is 5 Hours (300minutes) which is divided into two equal sessions. Q7. Is the JK SET is an online mode exam? Ans. No, the JK SET is an Offline mode exam that has only multiple-choice questions. The answers must be filled in the Optic Mark Reader sheets (OMR).
