The (IIT) is a public type of university approved by u201cUGCu201d & u201cAICTEu201d which select students on entrance test exam basis in Bacheloru2019s, Masteru2019s and PH.D with full time, part time and distance mode of education which offered 17 courses.   3. ABOUT UNIVERSITY The Indian Institute of Technology, Bhilai, was constructed in 2016 at Chhattisgarh by the MHRD. It is a public technical & research university. This institution is among the six young IITs founded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India. This institution is classified as an Institute of National Importance. It came into existence in July 2016, and it is currently functioning by the IIT Hyderabad. This institution is popularly known as IIT-BH. IIT-BH is presently functioning in its temporary campus at Government Engineering College, Chhattisgarh. It offers BTech, MTech, MSc and in addition to that, it also offers various Doctoral programs under different departments. Moreover, the functioning of the institution started with the introduction of BTech programs in August 2016. situated at Raipur

HISTORY This institution was one of the six new IITs established by the MHRD, Government of India, with a vision to create and sustain an academic climate that is vibrant and exciting enough to support and nourish every form of intellectual pursuits. It also focuses on relentless teaching education and research. Moreover, IITBH formally came into existence in July 2016 with the entry of the first batch of students on 25 July 2016. Currently, it is functioning at a temporary campus. However, the construction of the permanent campus is continuing. And it will be handed over to the authority in 2022.

  6. INFRASTRUCTURE Library- It has a central library facility for all research scholars, faculty members, and students. The central library is open to use for all, even during weekends. It has plenty of books, journals, and magazines. Additionally, it also has books that are encoded, cataloged, and computerized according to the new technology to meet with the rapid growth of visitors, research scholars, and so on. Sports- It has plenty of sports facilities for all the students such as several grounds and courts for different games like cricket, badminton, basketball, volleyball, and football. Along with that, it also has many indoor games such as snooker, tennis, table tennis, carom, & chess are available within the hostels for easy access by the students. Additionally, it also has a well-equipped Gymnasium for its students.

  7. INFRASTRUCTURE Hostel- Along with other facilities, it also provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with all necessary provisions. At present, about 450 male and 80 male students can be accommodated on campus as full-time residents. It has a spacious dining hall and a well-equipped recreational area. Additionally, it has an indoor games area and fitness center. It provides Lan Network in individual student rooms with an RO-based drinking water system & heavy duty washing machines on each floor. Labs- It has various Labs for different kinds of experiments, such as a 3-D printing lab, fabrication labs, electrical lab, computer lab, and many more. Along with this, it also organizes many workshops to keep its students engaged apart from their regular studies.

  8. INFRASTRUCTURE Medical Facilities- Moreover, it provides a health center for its students, which is available 24*7. Apart from that, it has tie-ups with nearby hospitals to provide medical assistance in the case of an emergency. They also provide a fully equipped ambulance that is all time available at the institution for its students and staff.

  9. COURSES OFFERED BTech- It offers various BTech programs at the UG level with a duration of 4 years. And to get admission to these programs, the aspirant needs to qualify for JEE Advanced rank, followed by Joint Seat Allocation Authority counseling. However, it has BTech programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Electrical Engineering and Data Science. MTech- It also offers different MTech courses such as MTech in Mechanical, Electrical, & Computer Science Engineering. To get admission to these courses, the aspirant needs to qualify for the GATE entrance exam. Along with that, the aspirant needs to have a bachelor's degree in Engineering or an MSc or equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% marks for general and 55% for SC/ST students.

  10. COURSES OFFERED MSc- To get admission, the aspirants have to qualify for the IIT JAM entrance exam. Additionally, they need to have a Bachelor's degree in science with a minimum of 55% general and 50% for SC/ST students. It offers MSc programs with specializations such as in Computer Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, & Physics. Ph.D.- It offers a Ph.D. in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science. Other than these, it also offers Ph.D. in the disciplines of Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. To get admission, the candidate needs to have a bachelor's degree in science, engineering, technology, or any equivalent degree with 60% marks for general and 55% marks for SC/ST students. Additionally, the aspirant has to qualify for the GATE/ UGC NET/ CSIR NET/ ICAR/ ICMR fellowship programs.
