  3. ABOUT UNIVERSITY Founded in 2010 Chaitanya Institute of Science & Technology (CITS) and is acknowledged as a university of excellence globally. The university is one of the largest groups of higher education as well as the technical education institutes in southern India. Hence, following the recommendations of the UGC, the Central Government designated in November 2019 Chaitanya Degree College as CHAITANYA (Deemed to be University), enabling act under Section 3 of the UGC Act of 1956. The university has an affiliation with Warangal's Kakatiya University. It is AICTE-approved, and the institution has been designated as a TOFEL exam centre by ETS-1-BI, New Delhi. Besides, external firms provide tutoring to students in order for them to take the GRE and TOEFL exams, which is necessary for entrance to American universities.
