ABOUTUNIVERSITY Kokrajhar is located in the district of Kokrajar Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) in Assam, Central Institute for Technology (CIT). It was established in 2006. CIT has been set for the primary objective to accomplish the Bodo people's ambitions regarding the cultural individuality, language, politics and welfare development of the region, and to provide Bodo youngsters with the improved software and professional efforts to enhance and assimilate the Bodo people in order to boost the economy in the sector. It is a publicly sponsored university under the Indian government's Ministry of Human Resource Development. In 2009, the graduate programme was launch at CIT. CIT now offers degrees in computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering, instrumentation engineering, food technology, Civil engineering and IT programmes.
ABOUTUNIVERSITY As a part of the Government of India and Assam's combined efforts to satisfy the Bodo people's ambitions, the CIT is authorised for providing technical and occupational education, including Information Technology, Biology, Food Processing, Rural Industries, Business Management, etc. Through its flexible and innovative academic courses, it is therefore intended to achieve a distinct place in the area of technical development in the region. Students received their first batch of graduates in 2006. Currently CIT provides Diploma programmes in CSE, Control and Instrumentation, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Food Processing Technology (FPT), Building Technology and Multimedia. In the Debargaon-Tiniali Patch region, Kokrajhar, the Institute covers 200 hectares. It features a flexible instructional design, which involves the combined B.Tech./B. Design Bachelor, the Master's Degree in Technology (M.Tech.) and the Design Master's Degree from 2019. D.Tech. and D.Des. are also provided by the institution.

HISTORY The NIMS university was established in the year 2008 by Balvir S Thomar who is now also the chancellor of the university. Ever since many other universities in many streams.
