ABOUTUNIVERSITY The Central University of South Bihar is shortly known as CUSB. It was established in 2009. CUSB is a public university. The Parliament of India set up the university under Sec 25 of 2009. In fact, at that time, it was called the Central University of Bihar. Later, its name got changed to the Central University of South Bihar. Above all, UGC has approved the university. And, NAAC has given it a grade ‘A’. CUSB offers many undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. Moreover, these programs are offered in various streams. For instance, there are streams like Education, Law, Management, Health Science, Language, literature, Science, etc. Besides, the objective of the university is to provide knowledge and skills in different branches of study. Moreover, it aims to keep innovating the learning and teaching process.
HISTORY In 2009, the government of India passed Central University Act 2009. This act enabled the establishment of 16 central universities on the Pan India Basis. In fact, The Central University of South Bihar is one of them. However, the university did not have its own Campus area at that time. So, it started functioning from the campus area of Birla Institute of Technology. Also, it was named Central University of Bihar (CUB). The university started functioning by offering postgraduate programs. Moreover, by 2013, it had added fifteen more pg programs. Later, IN 2014, the government of India granted it land to build its permanent campus in Panchanpur, Gaya. And, Hon’ble Lok Sabha Speaker Smt. Meira Kumar laid down the foundation stone of the university. In total, it got an area of 300 acres for its campus.
COURSES OFFERED Bachelors: The Central University of South Bihar offers many courses at the undergraduate level in various streams. For instance, the streams which the university offers are Education, Law, Management, Health Science, Language, literature, Science, etc. Namely, BSc.BEd., BSc.LLB (Hons), BA.BEd., BA.LLB (Hons)., etc are available in many specializations as well. Masters: The University offers many postgraduate courses. For instance, M.A. is available in many specializations; Psychology, Hindi, Political Science and International Relations, English, and Sociology. Besides, there are many other postgraduate courses.
