  3. ABOUT UNIVERSITY The Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) is a public university in India. It is located in Lucknow in Uttarpradesh. You can access different courses for higher education here. For instance, you can take up courses starting from diploma to doctorate studies here. It was established in 1916. It is one of the oldest Universities in India. BBAU got established in the year 1996. Above all, the University is recognized by the UGC. Spreading over an area of 250 acres is the main campus of the BBAU. Also, it is located in an eco-friendly environment.   5. HISTORY Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University got established in the year 1996, It was established in 1996 and named after Babasaheb Ambedkar. A satellite campus was later set up in Amethi. It was in the year 2016. However, only UG courses are available here. It is a public university offering higher education at affordable costs. Moreover, it is possible to take up research-intensive doctoral programs also here.

  7. INFRASTRUCTURE Library: There is a central library on the campus. It got set up in 1998. Furthermore, it is named Gautam Buddha central library is its name. It is because of its role in promoting knowledge and for disseminating information. Hostel: There are four hostels within the campus—namely, Ashoka and Ashoka extension for boys. Moreover, you have Sangamitra and Sangamitra extensions for girls. However, stringent rules are in place in the allocation of hostel rooms. First, the hostel rooms are for students from outside India. Then, it is for students from other states of India. Furthermore, differently-abled students will get preference. Lastly, accommodation is available for students from Lucknow, if they request it. DST center for policy research: BBAU, Lucknow has a special project.
