  1. How to MAKE soda at home?

  2. Now you can make soda at home with a few simple steps… • Now you can make soda at home with the help of very few ingredients. • Making your own soda can help you save money and reduce the number of artificial additives in your soft drinks. • Producing soda is a lot easier than it appears, whether you're making a sweet syrup to cut with carbonated water or brewing your own sodas from start. • You can produce fizzy and tasty sodas with a few basic ingredients to keep your fridge stocked.

  3. Start by making a thick soda-syrup base. • The simplest and quickest approach to manufacture your own soda is to produce a thick flavoring and mix it with already-carbonated soda water. Skip to the next step and brew your own if you want to start from scratch. Making syrup saves you the effort of dealing with yeast and functions similarly to an old-fashioned soda jerk or a modern soda machine in a small pot. • Mix the following ingredients: ------ 1 cup granulated sugar ------ about 1/2 cup of water ------ 1/2 cup fresh fruit juice, or two tablespoons of flavor extract

  4. Bring the mixture to a boil in a heavy saucepan. • Whisk vigorously to keep the sugar flowing while being cautious not to burn it. • It should completely dissolve and make a thick syrup. Bring the syrup to a boil over high heat.

  5. Reduce the syrup by half.  • Reduce the heat to low and continue to cook until half of the mixture is gone. • It will appear thick and sweet, which is a good thing. • It should be extremely sweet and concentrated, ideal for diluting with cold soda water.

  6. Store in squeeze bottle and refrigerate.  • Allow the syrup to cool before storing it in an easily accessible container in the refrigerator. • It should last a few weeks, if not longer. • If you have a sports water bottle, it would be ideal for storage. • You may store a spray or two of the syrup in the fridge door, portioned out for each glass of soda you wish to prepare.

  7. Serve by mixing with ice and seltzer water. • Fill a glass halfway with soda water and add a little spray of soda syrup, thoroughly mixing it with a spoon until it is integrated. • Taste it and add more if desired or dilute it more with additional soda water. • Enjoy while cooled.

  8. Pro-tip • If you have a carbonator, you can even produce your own soda water to simplify the procedure and prepare everything yourself. • While a carbonator might be expensive, you can start manufacturing your own soda water for free. • If you drink a lot of it, it will quickly pay for itself.
