Diagnosis of Functional Neurological Disorder • DSM-5 has categorized it into somatic symptoms and related disorders. • Physical Examination: Healthcare professionals can run physical tests that distinguish the symptoms of functional neurological disorders from those of actual medical conditions. • Lab Tests and Imaging: Additional tests are run to rule out medical issues.
