  1. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is one of the toughest competitive examinations of engineering in India. The score of GATE Examination helps the students to enroll admissions to M.E, B.Tech and many of the reputed universities and colleges in India which are funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of India. There are many government organizations are also recruit candidates through the GATE. What Is GATE?

Highlights of GATE Examination • GATE Score is valid for 3 Years • All the GATE Exam registration process is made online • In India many public sector organizations such as PSUs, NTPC, BHEL, Indian Oil Corporation are using the GATE examination score for recruiting candidates for various job profiles.

Highlights of GATE Examination • The GATE Exam will have numerical answer questions apart from multiple choice questions. • Candidates who qualified their GATE Examination are entitled for the stipend of Rs. 8,000/- per month of their PG program. • The GATE Exam will be conducted online mode for all the streams.

  6. Fellowship Programs • CSIR (The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) introduced the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) - GATE scheme in 2002 to allow GATE-qualified engineering graduates andGPAT-qualified Pharma graduates to for research through Ph.D. programs atCSIR laboratories.

  7. Scholarships in ME/M. Tech • To enhance the PG programs in India the scholarship willbe Rs 12,400/- per month paid by MHRDto GATE qualified students. For the financial support of candidates, that they can afford their needs during their course.

  8. Integrated Ph.D. • In India Some colleges let are offering an integrated Masters plus doctoral programme to the students directly after their graduation, and they can also get a stipend of Rs.28,000 per month.

  9. RECRUITMENT IN FOREIGN COMPANIES Some of the foreign companies also recruit candidates directly on the basis of GATE Result with an attractive package.

  10. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Fellowship award By CSIR If you are the topper in some GATE Papers you are entitled for Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Fellowship award by CSIR. And if you want to apply for the post of a Scientist/Engineerthen you need GATE qualification.
